“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)
Below is our April Newsletter.
As our nation and the world faces a time of change, it is good to be reminded that we have a Saviour who is constant and unchanging. As the hymn writer put it, “Yesterday, today, forever, Jesus is the same, All may change, but Jesus never – glory to His name!”
The current situation with coronavirus (COVID -19) has sadly meant that all services and Bible studies in prisons have had to cease for the time being but a number of prisons are asking us to send in written messages instead so they can distribute copies. Prisoners will also receive Bibles, Gideon New Testaments, Day One Diaries and other literature and will have access to Emmaus Correspondence Courses to help them study in their cells. We are seeking to maintain some of our chaplaincy work and letter writing ministry and trust these will continue to be a blessing to many prisoners.
Please do pray for prison staff at this time as they will undoubtedly be under a lot of pressure and for prisoners who will perhaps feel more isolated than usual, that the Lord will continue to work in their hearts and lives.
Your continued prayerful support at this time is very much appreciated.
