August Newsletter 2020

Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven: for His mercy endures forever.” (Psalm 136:26)

Our August Newsletter is available to read here.

This month we share encouragements from prisoners who have been receiving written messages and completing courses in their cells. We give thanks for the large number of prisoners who continue to be reached with these and other items of literature, many of whom would not normally attend services or Bible studies.

Another positive outcome of services being cancelled is that chaplains have been able to spend more time in one-to-one conversations on the wings and some chaplaincy teams are now trying to work out how they can continue this once other activities start again.

Managing Chaplains are currently giving consideration to restarting worship and study groups but numbers attending will need to be severely reduced. This could potentially be a cause of tension and complaint for some prisoners so please pray that chaplains will be given wisdom as they look at the best way to do this and that a peaceful atmosphere will be maintained.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
